Información del producto
2-Bromo-4-ethylphenol is an oxidation product of phenols. It is a colorless liquid with a characteristic odor. It has been shown to be a minor component in the free ether fraction of petroleum ethers and nujol. 2-Bromo-4-ethylphenol has been detected in the hydroxylated fraction of crude oils, which may be due to its hydroxyl group substituent. 2-Bromo-4-ethylphenol is also found as a minor component in the ketones and dienones derived from tricyclic compounds. This compound can occur naturally, but it may also be synthesized artificially by substituting npropyl for one of the alkyl groups on the phenol molecule.
