H-Glu[Cyclo(Arg-Gly-Asp-D-Phe-Lys)]2 has been shown to have tumor necrosis factor antagonist activity, as well as inhibitory effects on integrins. It also inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This peptide binds to the integrin alpha3beta1, which is expressed at high levels on many types of cancer cells, including prostate cancer cells.
