It has been shown to increase collagen production and inhibit the transcription of pro-apoptotic proteins in the carcinoma cell lines. H-Gly-Arg-Ala-Asp-Ser-Pro-OH is also known as RGD peptides, which are derived from collagen. It has been found to induce genotoxic effects, such as chromosomal aberrations and sister chromatid exchanges, in cells.
