Descripción:7-Chloroindoline is a cyclohexanone derivative that has shown in vitro activity against b. subtilis and S. aureus. It has antimicrobial properties and is classified as an antimicrobial agent. 7-Chloroindoline has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to their DNA, preventing RNA synthesis and protein production. The mechanism of action is similar to the other cyclohexanones, but the antimicrobial properties are not as potent. 7-Chloroindoline also shows antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Coccidioides immitis, and Cryptococcus neoformans.
