This drug has been shown to regulate abnormal cell growth and blood vessel formation in vitro, which may be due to its ability to inhibit angiogenesis. 3-(3,4-Dichlorobenzylidene)indolin-2-one also has anti-cancer activity and is used for the treatment of cancer as well as atherosclerosis.
