Descripción:Parogrelil is a pharmaceutical dosage form of a prodrug, which is activated by hydrolysis to form the active drug, parecoxib. It inhibits the production of inflammatory cells such as eosinophils, neutrophils, and monocytes. Parogrelil has been shown to be effective in reducing platelet aggregation and leukotriene receptor activity. The mechanism of action of parogrelil is not fully understood but may involve inhibition of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase or leukotriene receptor antagonist activity. Parogrelil has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit histone deacetylase activity.
