Progranulin is a protein that belongs to the granulin family. It is a secreted protein that is found in high concentrations in the brain, spinal cord, and cerebrospinal fluid. Progranulin binds to the receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL) and has been shown to be an important regulator of osteoclast differentiation and function. Progranulin also inhibits ion channels and Ligand-gated ion channels. Progranulin rat can be used as a research tool for cell biology or pharmacology studies, as well as antibody production.
