Dunnianol inhibits the activity of LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells by reducing the production of inflammatory cytokines and proteases that are responsible for cell damage and lung inflammation. Dunnianol also inhibits the activity of bacterial DNA polymerase by binding to the hydroxyl group on the enzyme and blocking its ability to bind to DNA, thereby inhibiting viral replication.
