8-Bromoisoquinolin-4-ol is a pyridine derivative that can be synthesized by three different routes. This reaction can be catalyzed by palladium, and it is an efficient method for preparing this compound. 8-Bromoisoquinolin-4-ol has been found to be a highly potent inhibitor of human platelet aggregation and has even been shown to inhibit platelet aggregation in vivo.
