Descripción:Tefinostat is a histone deacetylase inhibitor. It is used to treat cancer and has been shown to be effective against monocytic leukemia cells, HL-60 cells. Tefinostat has synergistic effects with certain growth factors in cell culture and also enhances the anticancer activity of other drugs such as tamoxifen. Tefinostat has been approved for use in women with breast cancer who are at high risk for recurrence or who have not responded to other therapies. This drug has been found to be well tolerated in clinical trials, but may cause headache, nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue.
