3'-O-tert-Butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-DMT-N2-isobutyrylguanosine 2'-CE phosphoramidite is a novel, high quality, DMT protected nucleoside. It is used in the synthesis of DNA and RNA. 3'-O-tert-Butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-DMT-N2-isobutyrylguanosine 2'-CE phosphoramidite is synthesized by reacting 5'-O-DMT guanosine with isobutyryl chloride to form an intermediate that is then reacted with 3' - hydroxyl group of silylated cytidine to form the desired product. This compound has been shown to be anticancer and can be used as an activator for enzymatic reactions.
