Descripción:Tertiapin is a synthetic bee venom peptide (Honey Bee, Apis mellifera) containing disulfide bonds between Cys3-Cys14 and Cys5-Cys18. It is an inward rectifier K+ channel blocker and also blocks the activity of calcium activated large conductance potassium channels. The pain and inflammation symptoms experienced after a bee sting is caused by this peptide eventhough bee venom also has the potential to treat pain and inflammation in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis. This product is available as a 0.1mg vial.
