Descripción:Mat2A inhibitor 3 is a diagnostic agent that can be used for the diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmia. It is a proton-activated, non-metabolizable, potent and selective inhibitor of the enzyme mitochondrial ATP synthase (complex V) in mitochondria. This drug binds to the catalytic site of complex V and blocks the flow of protons. The drug also has an inductive effect on hydrogen bonding, which is important for its high thermal stability. This drug has been shown to have a low metabolic rate and it is responsive to changes in pH. Mat2A inhibitor 3 has been shown to inhibit torque by overlapping with the active site at higher concentrations.
