Bottromycin A2 is a natural antibiotic and antiparasitic agent that has been synthesized in the laboratory. It is active against a wide range of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Bottromycin A2 is effective as an antibiotic against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It can be used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, such as tuberculosis, pneumonia, bronchitis, sepsis, meningitis, chancroid, and Lyme disease. Bottromycin A2 also has antiviral effects and can be used to treat viral infections such as herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), cytomegalovirus (CMV), human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), influenza A virus (IAV), and influenza C virus (ICV).
