Estradiol hexahydrobenzoate is an analog of the female hormone estrogen that has been found to have anticancer properties. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of elastase, a protein involved in apoptosis and tumor growth. Estradiol hexahydrobenzoate also inhibits the activity of kinases, enzymes that play a key role in cancer cell proliferation. This compound has been studied extensively in Chinese hamster ovary cells and has shown potential as a cancer inhibitor. It is excreted in urine and may be useful in developing new inhibitors for cancer treatment.
