Descripción:Dysprosium(III) iodide is a metal halide that can be prepared by reacting dysprosium metal with iodine. This reaction occurs at lower temperatures than other halides and can be used to produce low-temperature infrared radiation. The mass spectrometric analysis of the molecule reveals that it contains three atoms of dysprosium and one atom of iodine.
