This compound is an organic chemical with the empirical formula Y(CMeH)(OCH). It is used in experimental research as a superconducting material. Yttrium(III) tris(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedionate) can be synthesized by reacting yttrium oxide powder with 2,2,6,6-tetramethylhexane dione in a pressurized vessel at a temperature of 300°C for 4 hours.
