It has been shown to inhibit the growth of L1210, a murine leukemia cell line, and also shows cytotoxic effects on the HL-60 human leukemia cell line. It has shown an ability to chelate ring structures such as flavin and mononucleotide. The 2-(aminomethyl)cyclohexan-1-amine molecule can be converted into two isomers, namely 2-(aminomethyl)cyclohexanol and 2-(aminomethyl)cyclohexanone.
