Información del producto
- 5-Pyrimidinecarboxylic Acid, 4-Amino-, Ethyl Ester
- Ethyl 4-aminopyrimidine-5-carboxylate
Ethyl 4-aminopyrimidine-5-carboxylate is a halide that is soluble in alkaline and acidic media. It is used as a chemical intermediate for the synthesis of avanafil, an anti-erectile dysfunction drug. In the presence of ethyl orthoformate and a condition such as cyclization, this compound can be converted to ethyl ester or cyanoacetate. The cyclization reaction occurs when the ethyl ester reacts with acid ethyl ester in an alkaline condition. This reaction yields the desired product, ethyl 4-aminopyrimidine-5-carboxylate.
