Sorghumol inhibits the growth of colorectal adenocarcinoma cells, which are associated with the development of bowel disease. Sorghumol also inhibits the production of coumarin derivatives, which are toxic compounds that may be responsible for the development of colon cancer. Sorghumol has been shown to have synergic effects when used with other substances, such as curcuma aromatica.
