Información del producto
Erythrocentauric acid (EA) is a natural product isolated from the roots of the plant Centaurium erythraea. EA is a primary metabolite and has been found to have anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and anticancer activities. Erythrocentauric acid has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandin E2 in human neutrophils and macrophages, which may account for its anti-inflammatory activity. EA also has antiviral effects against influenza virus A, herpes simplex virus 1, and herpes simplex virus 2. EA induces apoptosis in HL60 cells by binding to DNA and inhibiting transcription. This compound also inhibits proliferation of human colon cancer cells in culture by inducing cell cycle arrest at G1 phase.
