Pexidartinib hydrochloride is a potent, selective inhibitor of the receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) and c-Kit. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and myeloid leukemia cells. Pexidartinib hydrochloride has an excellent safety profile, with no serious adverse effects observed in clinical studies, and it is not associated with the development of drug resistance. The drug was well tolerated in patients with advanced solid tumors or myeloid malignancies who had failed prior treatment with other anticancer agents.
