Descripción:PD 168077 is a dopamine uptake inhibitor that is used to study the function of dopamine in the brain. It selectively inhibits the uptake of dopamine into synaptic vesicles and blocks the binding of dopamine to its receptor, leading to an increased amount of dopamine in the synapse. PD 168077 has been shown to be effective against autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, but also against cancerous cells. Studies have shown that PD 168077 inhibits protein synthesis in tumor cell cultures and inhibits tumor growth in mice.
