Descripción:Cdk4 Inhibitor III is a drug that inhibits the activity of cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (Cdk4) and plays an important role in cell cycle progression. Cdk4 is a protein kinase that phosphorylates other proteins, including p27Kip1, which has been shown to prevent the formation of new blood vessels. The inhibition of Cdk4 with this drug leads to an anti-angiogenic effect and can be used for the treatment of solid tumours. Clinical trials show that Cdk4 inhibitor III has limited effects on prostate cancer cells, but it is effective against cervical cancer cells and thymoma cells in vitro. The cytosolic Ca2+ concentration is reduced by Cdk4 inhibitor III, which may contribute to its clinical relevance as a cancer drug.
