Descripción:6-Iodo-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one is an agonist of the 5-HT6 receptor. It binds to the receptor with high affinity and functions as an antagonist of the 5-HT6 receptor. 6-Iodo-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one has been shown to inhibit phosphatases and acetylcholinesterase activity in vitro. 6-Iodo-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one also antagonizes the effects of pentyl on cAMP levels and promotes conformational changes in regulatory regions of 5ht6 receptor mRNA that leads to increased production of the mRNA.
