IUN76750 is a peptide which has been shown to activate the protease-activated receptor 2 (PAR2) and induce calcium release from intracellular stores. IUN76750 binds to PAR2, which is a G protein-coupled receptor that induces a variety of biological responses. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of ion channels, as well as an inhibitor of protein interactions such as with the CXCR4 and CXCR7 receptors. IUN76750 also binds to the receptors for the chemokine IP-10 and human β-defensin 3 (hBD3).
