Descripción:cis-3-Hexenyl Butyrate is a bioactive molecule that is used for the detection of odorants. It has been shown to synergistically interact with other molecules and to bind to odorant receptors on the surface of cells. cis-3-Hexenyl Butyrate has been demonstrated as a potent inhibitor of human lung cancer cells (HL60) and can be used as an alternative to propionates in the assays that measure volatile organic compounds. cis-3-Hexenyl Butyrate can also be used to study the effects of damaged solanum tuberosum, or potatoes, on emissions, which are released from potatoes when they are cut or cooked.
