Descripción:
1,11-Dibromoundecane is an unsymmetrical, phenoxy compound that can be flipped and mesomorphic. The low molecular weight of 1,11-dibromoundecane makes it a good candidate for use as a solvent. 1,11-Dibromoundecane has a dipole moment and conformational flexibility which make it amenable to microscopy and nmr spectroscopy. It also has the ability to form hydrogen bonds with other molecules.
1,11-Dibromoundecane's carbon-carbon bonds are thermodynamically stable at temperatures below 100°C.
