Ethyl 2-cyano-3-(dimethylamino)acrylate (ECDA) is an antimitotic drug that inhibits the enzyme DNA polymerase, which is necessary for DNA replication. ECDA is a new class of drugs that targets the mitosis pathway and has been shown to be effective in treating cancer cells. ECDA has been shown to decrease cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo, but it has not been tested on humans yet.
