Descripción:Tenovin-2 is a cell-permeable, functionalized dendrimer with significant anticancer activity. Tenovin-2 stabilizes DNA and functions as an inactivated cytotoxic agent by inhibiting tumor suppressor protein p53. This drug has been shown to be effective against cervical cancer cells, which are resistant to other chemotherapeutic agents. Tenovin-2 has also been shown to inhibit the growth of myeloid leukemia cells and induce apoptosis in these cells. The mechanism of action for this drug is not yet known.
