Evodosin A is a natural product with anticancer activity. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting the mitochondrial pathway. Evodosin A also has an inhibitory effect on survivin, which is an important protein in the cell cycle, and caspase-9, which is involved in apoptotic pathways. The fragmentation assay provides a sensitive measure for evaluating the anticancer activity of compounds because it can detect changes in DNA content at the molecular level.
