Descripción:
Myosmine-2,4,5,6-d4 is a derivative of myosmine that has been labeled with the radioactive isotope carbon-14. It is used in research to study the effects of nicotine on cells. Labeled myosmine-2,4,5,6-d4 is incubated with cultured cells and then the treated cells are analyzed for protein synthesis. The labeled myosmine-2,4,5,6-d4 is metabolized by hydrolysis to release the label and the resultant product can be detected by autoradiography or scintillation counting.
