3-Amino-4-(methylamino)benzoic acid is a modified amino acid that is used in the synthesis of proteins. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of retinoblastoma cells and to bind to specific sites in cellular protein, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis. 3-Amino-4-(methylamino)benzoic acid has also been shown to be effective as a linker in chemical ligation reactions, which can be used for the synthesis of peptides and proteins. This compound has not been found to have any biochemical or chemical modifications.
