Descripción:ACY-241 is an experimental drug that may be used to treat cancer. It works by inhibiting the activity of enzymes that are essential in the apoptosis pathway. ACY-241 has minimal toxicity and has been shown to have synergistic effects on tumor cells with other drugs. This drug has been shown to inhibit tumor cell growth in vitro and in vivo, as well as to reduce tumor size in mice with prostate cancer. ACY-241 also binds to a monoclonal antibody that targets mitochondrial membrane potential and inhibits the growth of prostate cancer cells.
