This compound has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties through its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and reduce the production of inflammatory cytokines. 6-Anilinoquinoline-5,8-quinone has been shown to be pluripotent in vitro and can induce a number of physiological effects in cells such as increased protein synthesis and reduced cellular respiration.
