Descripción:(1-Chlorocyclopropyl)benzene is a ligand that can be used in the synthesis of hydrazones, pyrrolidides, and cyclic compounds. It is also a reagent for the synthesis of methyl esters, hexane amides, chlorophenyl carbonyls, carbethoxycarbonyl chlorophenyls, and carboxylic acids. (1-Chlorocyclopropyl)benzene reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce (1-chlorocyclopropyl)benzoic acid. This compound reacts with sodium methoxide to produce (1-chlorocyclopropyl)phenol. (1-Chlorocyclopropyl)benzene is not soluble in water or acetone but is soluble in ethanol and ether.
