Descripción:aR-c117977 is a cyclosporine analogue that has been synthesized to target the aerobic glycolysis pathway of cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and decrease the rate of metastasis in mice with breast cancer. aR-c117977 also inhibits cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis caused by cyclosporine, but does not affect cardiac function. The pharmacokinetic properties of this compound have been characterized in rats and dogs, which have shown it to be well tolerated and rapidly eliminated from the body.
