Descripción:LYN-1604 HCl is a research tool for studying receptor-ligand interactions. It is a potent and selective activator of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, as well as a novel ligand for the alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. LYN-1604 HCl has been shown to activate ion channels and inhibit the activity of high-voltage activated potassium channels in neuronal cells. The binding affinity of LYN-1604 HCl to alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors was found to be similar to that of nicotine, making it a potential candidate for the treatment of conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia.
