CDDO-DhTFEA is a potent activator of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ). It has also been shown to function as a ligand for the nuclear orphan receptor Nur77. CDDO-DhTFEA is an excellent research tool for the study of ion channels and antibodies because it can be used to block or activate these proteins.
