• Descripción: SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing 3 outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. Spike (S)-glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-protein takes part in the virus infection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies. The recombinant SARS Spike containing a total of 220 amino acids (306-515) and having a calculated M.W. of 24.8 kDa.SARS Spike is fused to a 6 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus, and is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
