Información del producto
- 1(4-Methoxyphenoxy)-2-propanol
- 1-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)Propan-2-Ol
1-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)-2-propanol is a benzyl ether that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of trifluoroacetic acid. It is also used as a solvent and in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and chemicals. 1-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)-2-propanol can be synthesized from benzyl alcohol through a trifluoroacetylation reaction with trifluoroacetic acid. The cleavage of the ether group leads to the formation of benzyl trifluoracetate, which can be hydrolyzed to yield 1-(4-methoxyphenoxy)-2-propanol.
