• Descripción: 7-Chloro-1H-benzotriazole is a divalent hydrocarbon that is used as a corrosion inhibitor in polymers, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of carbonyl group and phosphorus pentoxide. The compound can be modified by the addition of other compounds, such as hydrochloric acid, to form a polymer film. This film acts as an optical filter when it absorbs uv radiation in the range of 220 to 300 nanometers and transmits radiation in the range of 300 to 380 nanometers. 7-Chloro-1H-benzotriazole also serves as an initiator for polymerization reactions.
