Deapi-platycodin D3 is a polygalacturonic acid that is found in the seeds of the Platycodon grandiflorum. It can be isolated from the seed by electrospray mass spectrometry and characterized by monodesmosidic saponins. Deapi-platycodin D3 has been shown to have a variety of biological activities, including anti-inflammatory effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. The chemical structure and tautomeric forms of Deapi-platycodin D3 are unknown at this time. However, it has been shown that Deapi-platycodin D3 is an efficient method for preparing platycodin D3 in high yields.br>
