4'-O-Methylpuerarin is a natural product that is found in the genus Pueraria. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of cancer cells, as well as radical scavenging activities. The extract of Pueraria lobata has been used for many centuries in traditional Chinese medicine and is a common supplement in Japan. 4'-O-Methylpuerarin has been identified by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) and mass spectrometry (MS) analysis as one of the major active components of the extract. 4'-O-Methylpuerarin has also been shown to be useful for diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, atherosclerosis, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease.
