Descripción:Ecamsule triethanolamine is a polyol that is used in research. Polyols are sources of polyhydroxy compounds, which are important in the preparation of substances such as sugars, proteins and nucleic acids. Ecamsule triethanolamine can be prepared by sulfation or chlorination of ethanolamine. It is a chaotropic agent that can separate mixtures of proteins, enzymes and other biological molecules by disrupting hydrogen bonds between water molecules. Ecamsule triethanolamine has been shown to be able to increase the rate of thiocyanation reactions with carbonyl compounds, which may lead to the synthesis of new carbohydrates.
