Descripción:Policosanol is a natural substance that is obtained from sugar cane. It is a mixture of various alcohols, including octacosanol, hexacosanol, heptacosanol, and octacosanol. Policosanol has been studied for its potential to treat high cholesterol levels in the blood by reducing low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglycerides. Animal studies have shown that policosanol can lower LDL-C and reduce the risk of heart disease by preventing the formation of plaque in the arteries.
