Descripción:Z-Phe-Tyr-Leu is a synthetic peptide that has been shown to have prognostic value in patients with pancreatic cancer. It is a substrate for the protease carboxypeptidase and can be cleaved by trypsin to form Z-Phe-Tyr and Leu. Z-Phe-Tyr has been shown to reduce cell proliferation by inhibiting transcriptional regulation of genes, including those involved in epithelial mesenchymal transition. The studies suggest that Z-Phe-Tyr may be useful as an anti-cancer agent, as it inhibits tumor growth by reducing cell proliferation.
