Descripción:Z-Phe-Tyr is a potent irreversible inhibitor of serine proteases. It binds to the active site of the enzyme and prevents it from performing its function, which is to cleave proteins at specific sites. Z-Phe-Tyr has been shown to be effective against inflammatory bowel disease, but not against other types of diseases such as diabetes mellitus or rheumatoid arthritis.
