Descripción:4-Ethoxycyclohexan-1-ol is a volatile liquid. It is used as a solvent and chemical intermediate. It has been shown to be reactive with deuterium, trimethylsilanes, and other electron-deficient compounds. 4-Ethoxycyclohexan-1-ol also reacts with trimethylsilyl ether to form the corresponding trimethylsilyl ether derivatives. This reaction can be used for the labeling of silicon in organic syntheses. The reaction of 4-ethoxycyclohexan-1-ol with trimethylsilanes leads to rearrangement reactions that produce metastable products, which are unstable at room temperature.
