Binding of TCS 2314 to chemokines inhibits their ability to bind to receptors on white blood cells, preventing them from being recruited into the tumor environment. The molecular modeling studies indicate that TCS 2314 may also inhibit selectins from binding to leukocytes, which are necessary for the recruitment of monocytes into tumors.
